The Corporate Expression of Family Values

Why do we do this? Because it’s not simply good business, it’s good citizenship- something the Haque family are passionately committed to.

We place huge emphasis on employee wellbeing and safety- every member of our team is a highly respected and valued individual. Through the Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit (SMETA) process, we have been independently audited and accredited for; Labour Standards, Health & Safety, Environment and Business Ethics.

Our ethical stance embraces two key areas; Sustainability and Community.

Sustainability

When it comes to sustainability, we believe actions speak louder than words. We work hard to reduce all waste at our facilities. Our specialised separation bins ensure our waste goes to recycling and is never transferred to landfill. We understand customers need hard evidence and not just fine words to validate sustainability claims. We welcome inspection requests and the opportunity to show our facilities to your representatives.

E-Trims is compliant with the following standards;

Oeko-Tex Standard 100
We are Standard 100 certified, ensuring every component of our product line has been tested for harmful substances and is harmless to human health.

FSC (Forest Stewardship Council)
Our FSC certification is your assurance that our materials are responsibly sourced from FSC certified forests, recycled sources and FSC controlled wood.

GRS (Global Recycled Standard)
The GRS is an international, voluntary, full product standard that sets requirements for third-party certification of recycled content, chain of custody, social and environmental practices and chemical restrictions.

Sedex
We are members of Sedex, one of the world’s leading ethical trade membership organisation working with businesses to improve working conditions in global supply chains.

Community

Our ethical approach goes beyond the workplace and our immediate staff.

We provide funding to the Megh 15 Jonokollayan Society, a non-profit social organisation working for social equity and providing quality education. Its three schools at Gabtoly, Mirpur and Hemayetpur look after 100 of the most disadvantaged children in the region.

The Society provides vulnerable and marginalised students with basic education and life skills, along with vital nutrition and social awareness training.

With a student population that is 60% female, hygiene and menstrual health provision are priority issues.

Working with the Quantum Foundation of Bangladesh, E-Trims is proud to host blood donation camps using our commercial facilities. Quantum now provides an astonishing one fifth of the country’s blood requirement.

Here in the UK, E-Trims supports local communities just as we do in Bangladesh.

In the UK we are working with the country’s largest community charity, Oasis, on a scheme to help struggling families with uniforms and sports kit.

Oasis operates academy schools across the UK, serving over 29,000 young people, 49% of whom are from disadvantaged backgrounds.
